My parents went through a terrible divorce and it really hurt to see my family fall apart before my eyes. My dad was never really there when I was growing up and sometimes it makes me sad to know I missed out on that. But I know that God is my true Father!
How right you are, God IS your true Father. He shows us all what a father looks and acts like. Earthly fathers, like yours and mine, unfortunately are not perfect. Humans are not perfect and neither is your Dad. Divorce is a tragedy that so many of you go through. You are on the right path as you look to God as your Father. I have a question for you? Is there a man in your life that you think is an example of a good father? Maybe a grandfather, uncle, friend, teacher, etc. that would be willing to come along side you and be there for you. Do not be afraid to reach out and ask a godly man to be that person for you, I know they would be more than happy to walk along side of you. Take the risk, many have and do and the blessing are abundant! Matthew 7:11 gives us a great picture of God as our Father.

11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
