I feel like I’m not good enough. That I’ll never be good enough. I’ve never had a true best friend to whom I could share everything. My family is so disconnected even though we all live in the same house. We don’t talk, we don’t communicate. When my parents tell me they’re proud of me it doesn’t sound sincere. My life feels like its not going in any pointed direction that it’s just floating throughout this life. I know God is there with me, but I don’t know how to connect to Him.
Ready for the good news…none of us are good enough! Seems like a ridiculous answer doesn’t it. But my friend there is incredible freedom in that. God did not send His only Son to a perfect world, but He sent Him to us because we are not perfect. God knows that and still loves us no matter how much we mess things up, have bad thoughts, or make poor choices. My challenge would be for you to love yourself first, why, because God loves you and if He says so than you must be good enough. Try not to worry about others, because remember they also are not perfect. Go to your true best friend, Jesus Christ, and talk with Him about friends, family, self image, and all the other things that concern you. He is ALWAYS there to listen, even if it feels as though He is a million miles away. This time in your life is a huge transition in which emotions run crazy, but you can chill in the fact that God your guide. Each morning you get up give yourself a BIG hug and call it your “good enough” hug...because you ARE!!! Read Matthew 18:12-14 for an example of God’s great love for you. We are all His sheep!
Matthew 18:12 – 14
12"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.
You are valuable, and we love you! You are in our prayers!
